Within the project Civil Society Advocates – a Better Society: Through Partnership towards Democratic Development in Serbia, implemented by Belgrade Open School in cooperation with BFPE and the Balkan Investigative Research Network (BIRN) – Serbia, from 26-29 September we are in Kragujevac conducting the training entitled Design Thinking and Innovative Approaches.

20 civil society organisations from local communities are involved in this project, and this time we will work on raising their capacities for advocacy through a methodology of innovative (creative) thinking. The purpose of this training is to provide in-depth information on the problems of the target group for whose rights or needs advocacy is being pursued, with of empathy and understanding. Additionally, participants are encouraged to create alternative approaches to problem solving and to think unconventionally with the aim of finding strategies and solutions that can deliver positive results in the advocacy process.
