What is the future of political parties and democratic institutions in Serbia?

From 14 to 16 September, 2018, third event of our Annual Seminar, ”Political parties and institutions in Serbia” will be held in Niš. This is the last event in Serbia organised for our “alumni generation”, which participated in this cycle of our oldest and most prestigious educational program.

This time we will discuss –

the state of relations between political parties and institutions of Serbia;

which are the boundaries to parties’ influence;

are parties themselves being marginalised in favour of various interest groups;

how does this all affect (erode) citizens’ trust in institutions;

commitments of Serbia in terms of strengthening institutions towards EU integration; civic initiatives and decentralisation of Serbia,

as well as on the state of gender equality and minority policies in relation to institutions.
