As the organic matter breaks up it naturally becomes a fertilizer. Through composting of organic waste, nutrients can be returned to the ground. Recycling organic waste in order to improve quality of the soil is therefore an integral part of the circular economy.

How and which types of household waste can be composted?

What should not be composted?

How can one compost in his/her home?

What are the benefits of composting?

How to make high-quality compost?

Answers to these questions can be found in the leaflet, printed with the support of German Development Cooperation (GIZ) through the project IMPACT- management of waste and waste water.

Leaflet can be downloaded in Serbian as well as in English language.
