The medium-term plan of the city of Pirot for the period from 2022 to 2024 was adopted at the session of the Assembly of the city of Pirot held on May 20, 2022.
The document was made possible by the governments of Switzerland and Germany within the platform “Sustainable Development for All” implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, as part of the Public Finance Reform – Agenda 2030 project. Foundation BFPE for a Responsible Society (Environmental Protection Study), Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and Center for Democracy Foundation (Social Pillar); Center for Higher Economic Studies and Timok Youth Center (Economic Pillar).
From the beginning, the platform supports and assists certain municipalities in drafting local planning documents provided by the Law on the Planning System of the Republic of Serbia, and linking them to the goals of sustainable development. Thus, Pirot is the first unit of local self-government to be supported in drafting the Medium-Term Plan.
Defining a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of obligations or measures and activities to be implemented over a period of three years in accordance with the priorities set out in the Development Plan and available funds was a key goal in drafting the medium-term plan.
