The Foundation BFPE is organizing a conference “Foreign direct investments – opportunity or challenge for the local business community,” with the support of the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), which will take place on December 12th at the Aeroclub in Belgrade.
The project aims to thoroughly investigate the impact of foreign direct investments and foreign companies on the business community in Serbia, with a special focus on the local level. By mapping the needs and challenges, we aim to define the impact that foreign direct investments have on the Serbian economy, both in a broader sense and on specific economic entities such as small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as large economic systems.
The conference represents the final event of the project and provides an opportunity for dialogue with representatives of the business community, local governments, chambers of commerce, and other relevant stakeholders. Our goal is to assess the impact of foreign direct investments on the local business community, identify the needs of domestic economic entities, and discuss ways to overcome challenges arising from the operations of foreign companies at the local level.
