The discussion within the round table “Foreign Investments – Opportunity or Challenge for the Local Business Community,” organized by the BFPE with the support of the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), will take place on November 28th at the ‘Sloboda’ hotel in Šabac.
The goal of the round table is to engage in conversation with representatives of the business community to reach conclusions on how foreign direct investments impact the local business community (positively or negatively). It aims to identify the needs of domestic economic entities that must be met to make their position vis-à-vis foreign companies present in the locality beneficial for local entrepreneurs. Additionally, the discussion will explore ways to overcome challenges arising from the operations of foreign companies at the local level.
Šabac is one of the four cities in Serbia where a round table on this topic will be organized. The Foundation BFPE for a Responsible Society, in collaboration with CIPE, will create a comprehensive document based on the conclusions and recommendations from local debates. This document will include a set of recommendations to be communicated at the national and international levels.
