Through the final activity of this year’s cycle, participants of the thirteenth generation of the Annual Seminar had an opportunity to participate in the World Forum for Democracy titled ”Is Populism a Problem?” which was held from 8-10 November in Strasbourg, France. The Forum brought together representatives of 21 schools of political studies of the Council of Europe.

The World Forum for Democracy is a unique platform or political decision-makers and activists to debate solutions to key challenges for democracies worldwide. The Forum highlights and encourages democracy innovations at the grassroots and their transfer on a systemic level in order to strengthen the foundations of democratic societies. Speakers of this year’s Forum were current and former ministers of states around the world, officials at the institutions of the European Union, as well as representatives of the media and civil society organizations.

As part of the Forum’s program, our participants attended plenary sessions and actively participated in lab series. Participants of the Annual Seminar also had an opportunity to visit the European Court for Human Rights, as well as the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the Council of Europe.
