On May 27, 2025, the regional conference Green Horizons: Shaping the Future of Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development took place in Skopje, North Macedonia. Dedicated to promoting innovative ideas and initiatives in the fields of environmental protection and sustainable development.
Participants of the conference, including participants of the Regional School, had the opportunity to present concrete policy proposals during the Youth Policy Pitch session, and to engage in dynamic exchanges with representatives of regional environmental initiatives during the Voices of Change segment.
Svetlana Stefanović, Executive Director of The Foundation BFPE for Responsible Society, spoke to North Macedonian media on the importance of youth inclusion in decision-making processes related to environmental protection, as well as the role of the Regional School in empowering a new generation of leaders across the Western Balkans. In addition to Svetlana, participants of the Regional School also spoke to the media, presenting their initiatives and policy recommendations on sustainable development and climate action.
