Final seminar of the project “Local Networking for Sustainable Development” to take place in Prizren

Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence is implementing the project “Local Networking for Sustainable Development (LNSD)”, in cooperation with the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society in Pristina.
This project aims to improve local cooperation between Serbia and Kosovo*, to contribute to the development of democratic dialogue on issues of importance for sustainable development, to contribute to building human capacity through awareness and acquiring new knowledge for people from local governments, civil society organizations in local communities, representatives of the academic and business communities, as well as to initiate and develop communication and cooperation between the decision makers of the local communities in Serbia and Kosovo.
Group has 30 participants (15 participants from Serbia and 15 participants from Kosovo).
After successfully organized seminars in Nis, Pec/Peje, Belgrade and study visit to the city of Rijeka in Croatia, our final seminar will take place from 27 to 29 June in Prizren.
The seminar entitled “SUSTAINABLE WASTE MANAGEMENT AND REGIONAL COOPERATION OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES” aims to highlight the problems and solutions for waste disposal, as well as the importance of public-private partnerships as a model that can accelerate the process of building regional landfills.
Also, we will be talking about the sustainable development and preservation of the cultural heritage of cities and municipalities, with examples from the town of Prizren. The seminar participants will also visit a regional waste landfill located close to Prizren.
One part of the program will be executed in interactive workshops, and emphasis will be placed on strengthening regional is cooperation and regional cooperation between the municipalities of Serbia and Kosovo in order to preserve the environment and odživog development. At the end of the seminar participants will be granted diplomas / certificates of participation in the project which lasted more than a year.
