The regional conference titled “Underestimated Economy: Women Don’t Have Time to Change the Nation” will take place on November 20, 2023, at the Pristina Hotel in Pristina.
The Democracy for Development (D4D) organization, in collaboration with partners, including the BFPE Foundation, conducted research during April and May on the topic of unpaid work by women and its impact on women’s economic empowerment.
The research aimed to conduct a comparative analysis of the care economy in the Western Balkans region. The care economy forms the foundation of economic and social life, encompassing both paid and unpaid work, with a focus on caring for those who need it the most, primarily undertaken by women and marginalized groups.
