As part of the second phase of the ROMACTED program: ”Promoting Good Governance and Empowerment of Roma at the Local Level”,  a training on budgeting responsible for Roma men and women will be held in Belgrade on June 8, one of the most important components of the second phase of the program.

The training is intended for representatives of 14 partner cities and municipalities. In addition to the representatives of the Council of Europe and Foundation BFPE for a Responsible Society, the training will be attended by local facilitators, contact points of partner municipalities, as well as persons employed in the finance department from each municipality.

After the introductory address and opening of the training by the regional program managers for the ROMACTED program in the Council of Europe, Marina Vasić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, Olena Papuga and Aleksandra Bojađieva from the Office for Roma Integration at the Regional Cooperation Council, training will be held by Tibor Domonkoš.

The trainer will highlight the recommendations and guidelines of program budgeting with special emphasis on funding measures and activities for social inclusion of Roma men and women at the local level, as well as steps in planning a budget responsible for Roma.

The ROMACTED II program began to be implemented in January 2021 and lasts until December 2024, and is financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe.

ROMACTED II is a joint program of the European Union and the Council of Europe, which is a continuation of the first phase of the ROMACTED program in the Western Balkans and Turkey (2017-2020).
