Roma Integration in Europe remains an extremely complex and challenging issue. How can we shape policies that tackle the position and role of the Roma from the local to the European level? How can Roma themselves become stakeholders?

The Round Table with Richard von Weizsäcker Fellow Sonja Licht brought together decision-makers from politics and civil society organizations who support the integration of Roma communities throughout Europe. Together with Josip Juratovic, member of the German Parliament, and Zeljko Jovanovic, Director of the Roma Initiative Office of the Open Society Institute the discussions centered on the most complex Roma-related issues and on the channels through which countries like Germany could influence Roma-related decisions and discourses.

This was the second event organized as part of Sonja’s fellowship at the Robert Bosch Academy. You may find out more on the first one, “Is Serbia opting for EU or Russia”, HERE.
