From my town to my country: developing Serbia by a bottom-up approach

Project “From My City to My Country: How to Ensure Serbia’s Development?” will last for 2 years with the main objective to bring together representatives of local communities (local self-government, non-governmental sector, prominent citizens as well as representatives of national minorities) in order to stimulate the debate on the recognition of local specificities and identities as well as the importance and role local communities in the development of Serbia.
An introductory study is envisaged within the project; 8 debates in eight local communities, as well as a final conference presenting the results to be achieved.
The kick-off event will be held on 25 October in Belgrade.
The implementation of this project is supported by the German Society for International Cooperation – GIZ.
